Katheryne initially worked as a masseuse in private practice, she went on to combine work and study at the International College of Oriental Medicine. While undertaking her training in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and after completing a further course in massage she worked in the ICOM Massage Clinic. She has worked in multi disciplinary clinics for the last twenty years Katheryne studied Oriental Medicine at the International College of Oriental Medicine UK, West Sussex from 1991 to 1995, gaining a provisional Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1994, and on completion of further studies and the submission of a thesis a Full Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1995. As part of CPD (Continuous Professional Development ) a further 2 year course in massage was completed in 1993, LCSP (London and Counties Society of Physiologists), at the International College of Oriental Medicine.
My father was a keen sportsman with chronic back and neck problems. I taught myself massage and basic herbal medicine so that I could treat him and alleviate his suffering. This ultimately paved the way for a career in complementary medicine spanning 27 years.
