Anyone who has walked along an old street in Moscow knows that it is a city of memories evoked. The buildings and the boulevards of the city under changing skies tell of lives and moments, colours made sublime in their passing. This is the work of Alexey Shalaev, an artist living and working in Moscow today, who finds the memories of its architecture and shows us its still frame and living breath through the pictures he paints.
