Arcus Taxation & Accountants was established in 2000 by Andrew & Nicola Cross to provide individuals with local personal taxation advice tailored to their needs. They were joined officially in 2018 by Chris Searle who brings a wealth of small business expertise. The business aims to provide end to end business accountancy, financial planning and personal taxation services to individuals. The ethos of his business is focused on "being able to help clients plan their financial affairs and goals in the most efficient and independent manner possible". Our Principal Tax Consultant Andrew Cross CTA is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He commenced his career in Taxation in 1990 before qualifying as a Chartered Taxation Adviser in 1996. This means he has many years experience of advising clients on a variety of personal taxation issues whilst also being able to understand the opposing views of the Inland Revenue. Andy says his passion for tax is about "helping individuals pay less tax and working with people who are scared of and therefore don't communicate with HM Revenue & Customs and get themselves into difficulties". He has seen many people throughout his career who "become out of control with their finances, and although earn a good standard of living during employment their finances are unplanned and have no provision for any income or money in retirement".
