He returned to the UK in January 1999 to take up the role of Finance Director of WH Ireland Group plc, a quoted national stockbroking and financial services group. He left there in August 2007 to set up Ashford & Co. Ashford & Co aim to offer outstanding customer service and trusted advice aimed at individuals and businesses from sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Ashford & Co was formed by Derek Ashford in August 2007 and operates out of offices at 95a High Street, Lees, Oldham OL4 4LY. Derek has a vast range of experience having previously been a partner in a local firm of Chartered Accountants before moving to Jersey, initially as Financial Controller of Cater Allen Bank’s Offshore Investment Division and then becoming Head of Financial Planning and Management Information for Abbey National Offshore.
