Lessons are available for children and adults to fit around school or work commitments. Children would not need to miss school lessons to attend and we cater for adults who need to change appointments each week. All teaching staff regularly take professional development courses to continue their work as musicians and educators. Lessons are taught on a one to one basis but some group tuition may be available upon request. Parents of young students are welcome to sit in on lessons as long as the child is not distracted. We are happy to do 15 minute lessons for very young students over an agreed trial period. Examinations are available for all students but they are not obligatory. An initial consultation can be arranged with any of our teachers.
All of our professional teachers are educated to graduate level and above, all are performers and all have received enhanced DBS checks. We are a non profit making school and all lesson fees cover wages and running costs. All of the teaching staff are full time musicians many of whom work in secondary or higher education.
