Barbara Johnson gained City & Guilds qualifications in Flower Arranging and Floristry at Bishop Burton College of Agriculture, East Yorkshire, and went on to gain the Society of Floristry National Diploma and a Certificate of Education from Huddersfield University. She was awarded the Licentiateship of the City & Guilds London Institute for achievements in retail and later achieved an Honours Degree from the City & Guilds London Institute. Barbara has directed a successful floristry business for over 30 years, designing flowers for all occasions, using traditional flower-arranging methods in addition to her unique contemporary designs. Her floristry has continued to be popular in Hull and East Yorkshire and her clientele has included celebrities and royalty.
