Brambletye Hotel

The Two Two One restaurant and The Bram Bar at the Brambletye Hotel serves home-cooked lunch and dinner, using local produce. The quaint charm of the Brambletye, which has been a hotel since 1866, means that you can relax in comfortable surroundings and take advantage of friendly service and a warm welcome. Originally built as a large private hunting lodge when the Lancaster Great Park” was in existence, The Brambletye didn’t become a hotel until 1866. It still retains that beautiful age old charm, with its' original wooden beams, big open fireplaces and rustic Sussex character. In the very early 1900’s, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed at The Brambletye and, as a complement for an enjoyable stay, has featured the hotel in his Sherlock Holmes novel ‘The Adventures of Black Peter’. A thematic and courteous nod is made to Sherlock Holmes throughout our hotel even today.
