In 1972 the business expanded when Southover Filling Station was bought. Along with the rented property 'Newbridge Garage' the company traded from all three premises for many years. In 1989 the St Anns Chapel site was redeveloped to include new Workshops, Reception, Stores and Car showrooms. The business then relocated to the St Anns Chapel site and the Newbridge Hill site was sold. Today, the business consists of an Esso branded filling station, forecourt shop, used car sales, vehicle repair workshop and MOT testing station. We are a Group Auotcare Garage which means we are able to offer our customer a wide range of O.E. quality parts at competitive prices for all makes and models of vehicles. We employ a total of sixteen people, some of whom are employed on a part time basis. Many of our staff have worked for Central Motors for more than 25 years.

We are about half a mile from Gunnislake railway station on the scenic Tamar Valley line to Plymouth. The present owner, Dave Martin, bought the company in 1967 when it was based at Newbridge Hill Gunnislake.
