Following university, I continued to dance socially and then started teaching on a regular basis again in 2006. I was part of the team at Abingdon Dance Studios between 2006-2011 and established Cheek2Cheek Dance in Lambourn in September 2007. Cheek2Cheek Dance is all about the joy of dance - I want people to have a really good time when they learn to dance and to go home with a smile on their faces. It's a great way to get some light exercise and to share an activity with your partner or with a friend. I hold tea dances and balls several times a year because that's the point of learning to dance - it's a social activity! I also encourage my students to go to dances in the local area and join in the dancing social scene.
I've been dancing since I was about 10 years old - a group of us started classes and I stuck it out! I competed (not very seriously) as half of an all-girl partnership as a teenager, then started to study for my teaching qualifications and became an Associate of the IDTA in 1986.
