Established in 1964, Coxon Brothers began by agricultural contracting in North Yorkshire and the North East, from their base in Exelby. As contracting was seasonal, and because there was a scarcity of plant in the area, David purchased his first JCB in 1968. During the last 40 years 200 ponds and lakes have been designed and built and extensive dredging and river works have been undertaken. Coxon Brothers is now moving into the second generation with James joining the business in 2005 having achieved his degree in Civil Engineering.
