David Coy & Derek Wells were the founders of D Autos, both qualified technicians working for Stratstones Jaguar main agent started off their career as apprentices in 1969 and qualified as Auto Technicians in 1974 – once qualified both Dave and Derek left to start their own business which became D Autos. Since establishing D Autos the mechanics and technicians work on all types of manufacturers of cars – VW, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Vauxhall, Volvo etc. Due to modern vehicles the electronics have evolved, we have therefore made investments in up to date essential diagnostic equipment making diagnosis of fault finding, and resetting computers, a fast and cost effective process for vehicle owners. Dave Twist started Thorpe Tyres after working for Pirelli for 20 years, Thorpe Tyres & D Autos joined together as partnership in November 1987. Over these years we have built up a very strong customer client base due our honest and personal customer service and high quality of work – many of our customers have been using us since we started!
