Durham Animal Feed

In November 2015 DAF created Durham Animal Feeds South, a distribution branch to supply our Southern based customers. We opened the distribution branch in Weston-Super-Mare which enabled Durham Animal Feeds to supply and deliver to most areas of the country. Durham Animal Feeds South is now managed by Sarah Hall who started as a driver. Following the DAF ethos she worked her way through the warehouse, into the retail shop, then progressing on through into administration in the office, finally taking charge of the whole of DAF South, making her the ideal candidate to communicate with customers, someone who has met and worked with them face to face just as Lee & Peter have, this ensures all the management at Durham Animal Feeds are knowledgeable yet accessible, a real intimate business. Everyone at DAF continues to work hard to ensure that they are at the forefront of the natural pet food industry, whilst maintaining the old-fashioned principals of honesty and first-class customer service that they have become famous for.

Durham Animal Feeds (DAF) was established by Jack, Doreen, Peter & Lyn Hornsby. It was originally started to produce and supply raw food for the North East of England and grew a strong and reliable relationship with their customers. At the age of 17, Lee Hornsby joined the company and as with his grandparents and parents before him worked through the ranks doing everything from working on the production line to driving the heavy goods vehicles. Everybody did every job and that still applies to this day.
