Generally we specialise in the Japanese brands of Subaru and Isuzu but we also stock a large range of various makes and models including Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Volkswagen etc. Edwin Long Car Sales was established by local man Edwin Long. After gaining experience in the motor trade, he decided to start his own business towards the end of 1969. The first premises were at 29 South Street in Newtownards. (as shown in picture) From humble beginnings, by repairing and selling cars, the business rapidly expanded to an ever increasing customer base. As numerous people asked him to source cars for them, many makes and models were supplied. As the business grew, different manufacturers made contact with an interest to selling their products. However, if the business was to go in this direction, new premises would need to be acquired. In 1974 the business was moved to the present prominent location at 9-11 Portaferry Road.
