The majority of or Au Pairs are gap-year students who are of legally responsible age. All speak English, some at a higher standard than others but all quickly improve through their stay in the UK as they attend English classes known as EFL during their free time. Candidates placed for short period (in the summer) don't normally need to attend classes specially if you need help with childcare during the school holidays.
