This background lends artistic expression to much of his work & he hopes that his furniture will be well-loved for generations to come. As well as making to order Tim creates pieces of furniture for sale from his gallery in Hereford & these pieces are often unique, ‘one-off’ designs too. The basis of his work continues to be in creating bespoke pieces & as well as making for private dwellings Tim feels privileged to have been chosen to carry out commissions for Hereford Cathedral & numerous churches as well as corporate & public spaces. Using time-honoured methods and the finest quality woods he designs & makes pieces that enhance the spaces for which they are made & his skill & commitment to maintaining the very highest standards are self-evident in his work. The Victoria & Albert Museum in London advised Tim some years ago to sign all his work ~ in fact he has always done so, with his carved 'makers mark' acorn!
Tim's early interest in woodworking undoubtedly came from his knowledge of the work of his forebears, who were highly skilled ecclesiastical woodcarvers & after leaving Art college Tim became a professional furniture designer maker.
