Steam extraction is a type of carpet cleaning that gives the most thorough deep clean possible. Using more powerful machinery gives a safer and gentler clean than smaller low powered units. This is because the smaller machine doesn't have enough power. The operator will often try to compensate by using over harsh & strong chemicals that may visually do the trick but are often very bad for the carpets. We always use the right cleaning agent. Mild ones for wool and other delicates, more robust types on the synthetics. In fact every carpet type has it's own set of important do's and don'ts. Unless your circumstances dictate that a dry method is required
