In the late 1970’s George fitted his first wardrobe in his house in Earlshall Road, Eltham. Not long after that, his neighbour saw it and asked if he would build one in their home. It wasn’t long before 6 people he didn’t know in his road saw his work and came knocking on his door asking him if he would fit furniture for them. Enquiries continued to come in and George juggled this side-line alongside his full time job in the newspaper industry until in 1980, he established GPM Designs Ltd. Soon after, he gave up his full time job to run the new business. GPM Designs is your one stop shop for every conceivable size and shape of fitted made to measure bedroom furniture; we also fit offices or living rooms. We will build whatever you want to your individual specifications and can provide a huge range of combinations of styles and colours.
