Members now travel from all over England and indeed Scotland, with more joining all the time. To date we’ve grown through word of mouth alone — maybe that means we’re doing something right. Most tours involve motorcycling but many are also suitable for car drivers: we’ve taken trips to Le Mans 24hr and Classique, and to the old street circuits at Rheims and Rouen. We also regularly take groups to the Formula 1 GPs at Spa in Belgium. Every fully-guided continental tour starts by meeting in England, before we cross the channel together to explore some of the most challenging roads in Europe. Whether we’re on our way to a racetrack or a romantic weekend in the Champagne area, every detail is taken care of. As one member put it — The only decision I have had to make is what to have for dinner.†We cater for all abilities, with men and women equally welcome. Unlike other tour companies we always limit the numbers on each tour to ensure a close-knit, friendly experience. Grand Extreme is all about meeting people who share your interests. Grand Extreme started life in 2003 over a beer or two at the end of a day’s paragliding on the South Downs. We wanted a club for people like us, who enjoy living life to the extreme. The club combines our passion for motorcycling with extreme sports such as white water rafting, quad biking and paragliding, plus plenty of great sight-seeing. As we both like France almost as much as we do our motorbikes, it was natural to base most trips there.
