I became a registered childminder in January 2013 as I wanted to use my childcare experience and work with children. Since then I have cared for children of a variety of ages. I am registered with the Care Inspectorate (Social Care and Social Work Improvement Scotland) to look after children who are under 12 years old, with a maximum of 3 children who are not yet attending Primary School. I am able to care for a total of 6 children at any one time, 3 pre-school (one of which can be under one year old). This number includes my own children. As I provide individual home-based care I am able to tailor my service to suit a family's particular needs. I am registered with SCSWIS and also a member of the SCMA and through them hold public liability insurance.
