I moved to Dunmow in June 2004 and I have one daughter, called Hayley who was born in September 2000. We live in Barley Lane, Dunmow, with my husband, Dave. My house is a smoke free zone. We have 1 pet, Cassie, our very timid cat. I have been a registered child minder since June 2005 and a qualified Nursery Nurse since June 1996. Since qualifying in 1996 I worked as a nanny for several families. I continued nannying after I had my daughter, as I wanted to continue with my career. I also felt my daughter would benefit being around other children. When my daughter started school, I found it very difficult to find a job as a Nanny, as I was limited to where I could work because of her schooling and as I really enjoy working with children I decided that becoming a child minder was the best way forward. In my playroom, I have a wide range of toys, books and games available and I will organize various creative and outdoor activities for the children in accordance with their age, stage of development and interest. Children I mind within the 0-5 age group have the chance to attend a toddler group on a Wednesday morning and The Children’s Centre on a Thursday morning which encourages them to develop their social skills and enjoy different environments.

Helen Williams Childcare offers a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the attention and care that he or she needs. Each child is valued and respected as an individual. My aim as a child minder is to provide a warm and stimulating environment for all children, irrespective of age, gender, colour, culture, belief, disability and social background. I aim to offer them an extension to home life, to make the children feel happy and secure during their time spent with me.
