I have always been fascinated by old buildings and streets and the life they contain, and really enjoy capturing the character of them in the paintings I produce – usually including bustling people and animals but without a car or white van in sight! There are also my animal paintings that I thoroughly enjoy producing. Many of which are secret commissions for gifts, I have painted many pets, some of which are sadly no longer with their owners, so by having a painting to keep forever is a special reminder of their beautiful friend. I have been commissioned to paint dogs, cats, guinea pigs, sheep, ducks, llama’s and even a reindeer called Donut! It is wonderful when I receive an emotion filled thank you for making someone’s day special! I also love painting flowers, I love gardening and visiting gardens, always taking dozens of photographs throughout the seasons to work from. From delicate wet in wet watercolours to large bold acrylics on canvas.
