Acupuncture is a safe and effective natural therapy and an increasingly popular form of healthcare used to treat a wide variety of ailments, both physical complaints and emotional issues - chronic or acute - as well as for general well-being. In using a holistic approach with our patients we find that in addition to relieving the presenting complaint they also frequently experience improvement with other wellbeing issues. Kerry has been passionate about acupuncture since experiencing the healing it can afford following a car crash and spinal injury in 2003. Having worked as a massage and aromatherapist for 10 years Kerry knew she wanted to follow this new path by training to become an acupuncturist in the future. In 2011 Kerry graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. This intensive 4 year course included clinical practice in a teaching clinic under the supervision of senior practitioners, and more than 200 hours of patient treatments.
Acupuncture is a form of Chinese medicine that promotes natural healing of the body. The science and art of acupuncture involves insertion of fine needles into specific points along meridians, or channels, of the body to stimulate the nervous system, which then activates mechanisms to bring about balance and healing within the body. Acupuncture is a great way of getting well and helps maintain good health, enabling you to stay well.
