Deciding to offer their customers more they branched out into pine bedroom furniture made by the very best UK manufacturers, Ducal and Lovelace. Their second store followed just a few years later situated on the high street in Dartford, Kent Expanding their ranges to include dining, living and occasional furniture it soon became obvious that a larger showroom was needed and in 1993 Koala Furnishings Sevenoaks opened. This spacious store offered spectacular furniture displays, allowing the customer to envisage what the furniture would look like in their home, a vast selection of beds and mattresses and with ample customer parking it soon became the destination for shoppers in and around Kent. Over the next few years Koala Furnishings continued to grow and keep up with changing trends. They introduced a funky range of kids cabin, high sleeper and bunk beds and with the increasing demand for oak furniture, they sourced the very best UK manufactured range from Pinetum and the Quercus oak collection was soon on display in all stores.
Koala Furnishings opened the doors to their first showroom in Bexleyheath, Kent in 1985. Owners Phil and Mike, with their knowledge and passion for beds and mattresses made this store one of the first in Kent to specialise in top quality pocket sprung mattresses, divan sets and bed frames.
