Masters of Durham began trading from this site at Four Lane Ends, Spennymoor in the year 2000, since then the business has continued to grow and we have established a loyal customer base in which we are proud of and appreciate for making the business what it is today. On the retirement of Ralph Masters in July 2014, he offered the opportunity to Ian Thompson a close friend who has dealt with the business for many years to take over the role and become the managing director of Masters of Durham. Ian realised the great potential and without hesitation accepted the challenge of continuing the growth and success of the business.

In 2014 Ian started to implicate some changes to the business, he has since introduced our specialist tyre service "Tyre Masters" which has worked closely with GT Radial to offer our customers the finest experience when buying tyres from us. We have also continued the growth of our car sales and now stock up to 40 used vehicles at any time between our forecourt and heated showroom.
