Derek & Marcella previously worked for a large bank in Northern Ireland for 16 years where they were responsible for, amongst other things, personal lending, savings and mortgages in a mixture of large and small branches. Both of them achieved their Certificate of Bankers in Ireland. They moved to Scotland in 1994 whereupon Derek commenced work in the Financial Services Industry with Friends Provident and Marcella continued with her banking career. Subsequently Derek also achieved his Financial Planning Certificate, CeMap (Certificate of Mortgage Advice & Practice) and the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate Modules of Taxation & Trusts, and Pensions. Most recently he achieved his full diploma in Financial Advice.
We pride ourselves on being a family run business and our clients therefore find it easier to identify with us than with many of the larger multinational financial services companies. The day to day running of the business is carried out by Derek who is responsible for the Financial Advice and his wife Marcella who is the administrator.
