Norton Finance is a member of a number of official industry bodies, including the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB), and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Norton Finance was founded in 1974, with a mission to help local customers get the loans they needed. The Stringer family business started in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, as an insurance brokerage — and we’re still based there today. Originally founded as an insurance brokerage, Norton Finance has spent the past 40 years expanding our offering to our customers, branching out into a number of different types of finance. In 1987, we formed the home lending company Norton Home Loans, which has been helping customers gain access to finance for more than 30 years. This sits alongside Norton Finance & Mortgages, our brokerage arm, which helps our customers find the right finance option for their own situation. Our expertise in the industry has also helped us to negotiate some of the most difficult financial climates over the years. By adapting how we work and being committed to helping get the sector back on track, we were able to get through the financial crisis in 2008.
Norton Finance has been helping people turned down by high street lenders for over 40 years. We’re a bit like a comparison site, except we handle the entirety of the application process. We’re there for our customers every step of the way — with a dedicated account manager and a 24/7 call service. We’ve won awards for our straight-talking and helpful approach — including picking up the prize for Best Secured Loan Broker at the 2013 Loan Talk Awards.
