Ju-Jitsu skills can be applied by men, women and children to counter aggressive situations ranging from harassment to armed physical assault. The nucleus of the art is made up a system of throws, joint locks and strikes based on the principal of using an aggressor's negative energy to their own disadvantage. Onna Ju-Jitsu Club has been established since 2000 and has become one of Yorkshire's most successful organisations with over 600 students training in Bradford and surrounding districts. We are a diverse and friendly club and welcome anyone who wishes to learn the art of Ju-Jitsu in a fun, safe and friendly environment. Our success, as a club, is due to the supportive and fun atmosphere we create in our classes to help students reach their full potential. The club adopts an Equal Opportunities policy and all students irrespective of race, colour, religion, disability, age, gender, social status or sexual orientation are welcome at the club.
Ju-Jitsu is a martial arts that concentrates on technique rather than brute force. Although Ju-Jitsu was developed in medieval Japan, the martial art has gained great popularity amongst the police and armed forces as a practical form of self defence to meet the needs of today's society.
