For those that are new to silversmithing the first project set is usually a pendant. It ensures that a variety of techniques are covered including piercing (cutting), filing, coming, soldering and polishing. After the initial project, or for those who have made before, students are encouraged to make whatever they like - within reason! Individual ideas are always encouraged and fully supported, from planning through to a finished piece. The studio is fully equipped and a range of processes can be explored, including enamelling, casting, stone setting and Repousse. On occasion I hold a one day workshop which is priced from £45.00. Tuesday mornings 10am-1pm ( Tuesday evenings in July & Aug) Thursday evenings 7 - 9pm The classes will run for 5 weekly sessions, they are small and sociable with a maximum of 7 students. We usually have a variety of abilities and the small class size works well for beginners and intermediates alike.
