The first floor houses 'The Janet Bassett Gallery' showcasing the work of local artists and crafters. The displays in both the museum and galleries are changed regularly. We have permanent displays of the Rothwell boot & shoe industry, social history and another of the multi talented Rothwell born actor, singer/songwriter, 'Carry On' star and Broadway entertainer Jim Dale MBE.
Rothwell Heritage Centre serves as a point of reference for local history information, with regular displays and exhibitions of local interest. Staffed by volunteers the centre is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00am until 12:30pm. Our magazine 'Rowell Heritage' is to be published quarterly from the beginning of 2019.
