Wherever I go in the world I can’t help but look in the jewellery stores as it gives me such inspiration. After 38 years in the business, I still have that ‘fire’ and enthusiasm to search and source new and latest trends. I'm really fond of ‘beautiful’ jewellery and am drawn to traditional, elegant pieces too. If I don't see it and I can’t source it, then I make it! Stefan’s Jewellers opened its doors in May of 1987 after Stefan decided that instead of ‘managing’ high street jewellers he wanted one of his own. The shop had previously been a dress agency and was a small concept with a little hatch for serving and no toilet! Stefan and his late father worked tirelessly to put some love back into this old and tired building and managed it brilliantly with little money, a lot of dedication and hard graft. Stefan’s opened with little stock but grew and grew and in 2001 the shop expanded to facilitate the growth of the repair and manufacturing side of the business. Sandra, Stefan’s wife (former nurse & midwife) joined Stefan’s full time in 2007. The shop has been a family run business since day one and with the constant support from family members has succeeded and continues to thrive.
