I paint mostly landscape in oils and acrylics, I enjoy the buttery texture of the paint and all the different ways in which you can manipulate it, I work in a broad manner trying to capture the mood of the scene. I enjoy paintings where you can see the hand of the artist in the quality of the brushwork. I try not to overwork my paintings has I would like to achieve a fresh unlaboured look. I live in the UK and have and feel fortunate to be surrounded by such a diverse range of landscapes and scenes to paint, from beautiful old harbours to densely woodded forests, I also find the city's and towns interesting places to paint. I have exhibited at the mall gallery in London and are always on the lookout to display my paintings, I enjoy entering open exhibitions and like to enter my work into the various online competitions.
