Within the NHS, I had experience of community and in-patient mental health services for children and young people and learning disabilities services for children and adults. My clinical work has included individual therapy with children and young people for a wide range of psychological difficulties and behavioural work with parents. I have also worked with young people and parents in groups. I have provided consultation and supervision to colleagues from a range of professional backgrounds such as psychologists, medical doctors and nurses, and have regularly been involved in teaching and training for colleagues. ​ Since starting my independent practice in 2011, I have worked with hundreds of children, young people and parents who felt that a psychological perspective would help them deal with a diverse range of challenges. I have provided teaching on topics relevant to children and young people’s mental health and psychological well-being to schools and medical services. I offer supervision to fellow clinical psychologists and practitioners from other professions who support young people.
