Our aim is to continue learning while creating thrilling theatrical experiences that inform and evolve the communities we work within, through classic texts, new adaptations, new writing and new music. But Discarded Nut has always been about more than just the work on stage and believe in collaboration being the key to success. As such we seek to engage newly qualified performers, practitioners and technical staff in their first professional engagement, and offer interesting and stimulating work-experience placements at our local secondary schools and sixth form colleges as well as mentoring for newly formed theatre companies.
