Valerie Chan is a Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). She trained as an accountant from small to medium size accountancy firms. She then moved on to Pricewaterhousecoopers (the No 1 accountancy firm in the UK) working as a Senior Consultant where she dealt with numerous professional companies such as Marks & Spencer, Kodak and Mars. Valerie then moved on to industry working as a Financial Controller for a courier/chauffeuring company. By tidying up the company’s Balance Sheet, Valerie was able to demonstrate that the company was a good investment. The owner subsequently successfully sold his company to Addison Lee, the No 1 courier company. Eventually Valerie worked as the Senior Management Accountant for London Bridge Hospital, a private hospital.
