With three par 3 and three par 5 holes the 6411 yardage from white tees offers a stern challenge to all classes of golfer trying to match the S.S.S. of 71. The Ladies course, approved by the Ladies Golf Union, is 5,190 yards, par 71 and is also played from 18 tees. Fairways and greens are in superb condition all year round and certainly within the last 10 years Wooler Golf Course has only been been closed a handful of times. Even throughout the winter, temporary tees are used but the greens remain in play. Visiting single, group and Society golfers can be accommodated and catered for on any weekday and most weekends with a warm welcome extended to all. Fees of just £15 per 18 Holes - or £20 Week-ends and Bank Holidays (or £10 for 9 Holes) must surely represent one of the best value-for-money courses in the country.
Wooler Golf Club is situated just off the B6525 Wooler to Berwick road, at the village of Doddington, some 3 miles North East of Wooler. This 9 hole 18 tee, par 72 course occupies the high ground known as Dod Law.
