The barn is now an even more exciting place to visit. With the addition of artisan studios joining Harry’s CafeBar, and the Gallery, there really is something for everyone here so make sure you allow plenty of browsing time! Clive has a gift for hunting out architectural gems, ensuring there is always something new to see at the barn, whether it is row upon row of Edwardian cast iron baths, Victorian fire surrounds, stone fountains, masses of chimney pots or a traditional red post box. You might discover church pews, Art Deco fireplaces, traditional cooking ranges, and masses of brass taps, or you could find a Westmorland court cupboard, an old punching-in clock, and a billiards table. The extensive ironmongery section has hundreds of doorknobs, handles, letter plates, knockers, and more. The eclectic mix is not restricted to domestic antiques. Clive and his team have rescued valuable pieces of history from demolition including whole church interiors, stained glass windows and all; giant doors from stately homes, a complete Victorian conservatory; and life-size stone sculptures of gargoyles, lions and wild boar.
