Bill Hollis and his wife Miki established Hollis Motors in the old Dover Tramways Depot on Crabble Hill in 1964 (you can still see the tram rails!). Soon after, the Volkswagen franchise started operation and within a short time Bill and Miki were joined by their two children, Sarah and Billy, who had both been working for a firm of local chartered accountants. The Audi franchise joined Hollis Motors a few years later.
