I recently decided to rewrite this page after a few things in life changed my outlook on me, as a person. Now I’m not going to get too deep in details on my ‘about’ page, but if you have a spare five minutes then have a read of my blog that covers this in more depth. Richard Doughty is a multi award winning photographer who has been in the business for over 30 years. He started his career and acquired his skills at the Press Agency in York where he freelanced for the national and regional press and various magazines. national and regional press and various magazines. In 1988 he was appointed as District North Yorkshire photographer for The Northern Echo before being promoted to Chief Photographer, running a department of eight.

I am a creative full time professional photographer with 22 years experience, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire. I absolutely love photographing weddings! I use my skills as a press photographer to capture all the special moments of your wedding day in a truly creative and non-intrusive way.

Mostly our galleries combine photographs taken here in the north-east and the surrounding areas where there is some of the best scenery in the country. However, being a keen European traveller there are also some stunning images taken in the mountainous regions of the Italian Dolomites, French Alps, Pyrenees and the Austrian Tyrol.

We are professionally qualified wedding, portrait and commercial photographers with over twenty years combined experience in the photographic industry. At our Tadcaster photography studio we produce fine art photographs that are designed to enhance and enrich your life.

I can usually be found chasing the golden glow of a sunset with a camera in hand. I’m a full time wedding photographer based in North Yorkshire capturing weddings around the world. My feet may be planted on the Yorkshire Moors, but my heart is wandering free in a desert somewhere in the USA.
