The strengths of Chinese Medicine are many; it looks at each person as an individual and recognises that your illness may not be exactly the same as someone with similar symptoms; that a person is more than just the mechanics of their body, they are also made up of other human attributes and as such it has insights and understandings into the cause and continuation of disease that Western medicine does not have. It also sees how our environment, lifestyle, work, relationships and many other factors can affect our health. It has been an effective method of healthcare in China and surrounding countries for about 2,500 years and appears to do an equally good job in the Bristol and Wells areas. It is not a panacea but it can offer first class treatment for many common ailments and will frequently give insights into many less common diseases.
