Animed

We are a long established local veterinary surgery, established in Whitstable in the mid 1950s. We have always aimed to provide top quality veterinary care to the animals of Whitstable, Herne Bay and the surrounding areas. The practice was originally located in Whitstable High Street and near to the Sea Front in Herne Bay, but in the 1990s the Herne Bay practice closed and the whole practice moved to Whitstable. From our small premises on the High Street, Animed grew from a single vet, John Brown, to a three vet practice by 2002, when it was possible to re open a practice in Beltinge, near Herne Bay. After this the practice continued to grow and eventually outgrew its original Beltinge premises in 2008. We opened our refurbished Beltinge practice in October 2008. In 2016 we were able to move out of our small premises on the High Street in Whitstable to a newly fitted out factory building on Beresford Road, finally giving us the high quality purpose designed premises that we had always wanted.
