I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling. I also have extensive experience of short term (or solution focussed) work over six sessions. After some life changing events some thirty years ago I realised there are simply not enough people available to offer an unbiased, non-judgemental ear. This is what started my journey and my training initially as a psychodynamic counsellor followed by psychoanalytic psychotherapy training. I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (Chelmsford Counselling Foundation 2003) and a Post-graduate diploma in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (WPF Therapy London 2012).
I am based in Maldon, Essex and have experience in face-to face, open-ended work (where counselling continues for as long as it is useful and helpful), with individuals on a weekly basis and also on a more frequent basis — two or three sessions per week — as appropriate.
