While I deal mainly with accounts and tax issues, I see my role as a general business adviser and can often make recommendations on matters beyond finance. If I can’t help I will know someone who can. In 1986 I graduated from Exeter University and I joined the Bristol office of Deloitte, Haskins & Sells as a trainee chartered accountant. I qualified in 1990 and joined a group of colleagues in a smaller firm - Hollingdales - which specialised in owner-managed businesses and charities. I joined the British Red Cross Society in 1997 as the South West Regional Finance Manager where I gained significant general management experience. In 2002 I established my business, Helen Bardle Chartered Accountant, and in 2008 the expansion of the practice necessitated a move to new premises in Cheddar. I have a wide variety of clients, but I specialise in dealing with small businesses because I believe that is where I can deliver most value.
There are many demands placed on business owners. Accordingly my aim is to make life easier for clients by dealing with the burden of financial and tax matters, and enabling them to devote their energy to what they do best, the day-to-day running of their businesses.
