I qualified and first worked in the Midlands area, before settling in Cambridgeshire in 1994. Having worked in local NHS hospitals and clinics, I have built up a knowledge and aptitude for treating musculoskeletal†problems, realising quite early in my career, that this was the area I wanted to specialise in. I feel that the key to successful physiotherapy treatment is an in depth assessment and diagnosis, explaining the problem and appropriate up-to date treatment techniques to address the problem. Listening†is crucial to finding out how the problem occurred and finding out what needs to be achieved. I have a very hands-on†approach, using a variety of techniques including joint and soft tissue mobilisation, stretches and massage, whilst complementing this with a home exercise programme (this could include core stability exercises and a Pilates style approach).
