Cheddar Dental Practice

“Holmleigh” has been a Dental Practice for over 40 years. Initially it was a branch practice from Wells before becoming the home and surgery for Steve Wilkinson. John Smalley joined as a partner in 1983. Steve retired to Cornwall in 2001 and John with his wife Gill were then in charge. We had the builders in twice (2006 & 2011) to extend and modernise our facilities. In 2015 the ownership of the Practice changed again when Vinay Shah and his wife Krina took over. We have an NHS contract and are proud that 90% of the work at the practice is carried out on the NHS. We are also a registered provider of ‘Denplan’ care. Cheddar has been selected as a training practice for dental graduates and we enjoy getting to know new dentists every September. Vinay, John and Lucy are trainers.
