Stan was one of the original members of the Master Lock Association and joined the Watford Chamber of Commerce back in 1971. He retired from the business in 1982, when John Baughen took over. When John retired in 2003, David Henderson took over and still runs the business today. There really isn’t anything David doesn’t know about business or home security. Having the shop in Leavesden Road, Watford, David is heavily involved in the local community, having retained Chamber of Commerce membership as well as being an active member of BNI Junction in Watford. Connor Locksmiths are keen supporters of Watford’s Peace Hospice and David has helped out with their 13-mile Starlight Walk for the last few years.

As a family-run locksmith business that moved into Leavesden Road in Watford back in 1961, it’s fair to say that we’re Watford’s oldest locksmiths. Some of you may remember the hardware store, Hemmings, in St Albans Road. Stan Connor worked there back in 1946 and started repairing locks as part of his job. He moved into premises behind the Wishing Well pub in St Albans Road and started trading as S E Connor locksmiths in approximately 1955.
