Negotiated the first Civil Liabilities Insurance scheme for BAPCA (British Association for the Person Centred Approach) members. Previously a Complaints and Professional Misconduct panel member for EAPA (Employee Assistance Programme Association) (British Chapter). Past Chair of BAPCA, Treasurer, Executive committee member, and member of the Coordinating group and Administrator for the BAPCA Directory. Built the first website and commissioned the current website for BAPCA, and continues to have overall responsibility for the current website. Honorary member of BAPCA.
Allan is an MBACP Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, starting counselling in 1980. He is a counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor with over 22,000 hours experience. He has also held senior roles with international insurance companies, was a Chartered Insurer and thus has a unique combination of commercial and clinical experience. He is particularly interested in couples-counselling, Aspergers, critical incidents and trauma, although his broad experience means that he has many areas of professional interest. Allan was a founder director of the company in 2002.
