Custom House Design was started in Topsham in 2010 by Teresa Hamlin who has a wealth of design and retail experience. Now based in the heart of the Devonshire countryside amidst a courtyard of stone and cob barns, and just a few miles north of Exeter, our studio is a showroom for our Interior Design services. We have ample parking - all we ask is that you ring in advance so that we can ensure your personal attention . . . ! We stock a wide range of furnishing fabrics, trimmings, carpets and wall-covering samples and you are welcome to come and to browse or to pick our brains for those design tips and in-depth product knowledge. We can help you to choose furnishing fabrics for your home and help design your living space. For a small fee to cover our expenses (refundable on ordering), we will gladly come to your home.

Teresa has an honours degree in Fashion and Textiles and has worked in both the fashion and interiors industries as a designer and retailer for over twenty years. During this time she has gained an extensive knowledge of textiles and a specialisation in lighting design. With this knowledge bank Teresa formed the business to bring Interior Design and a quality furnishing studio to Devon.
