My services cover every aspect of garden design, from a one-off trouble-shooting consultation, to providing fully detailed plans for new design and planting schemes making it easy for you, or a contractor, to create a new garden, or improve areas within your existing garden. My aim is to take the mystery out of garden design and ensure that you get top quality design and planting for the best price available. Becoming a full-time garden designer was probably inevitable! After growing up in a family of keen gardeners on a farm in South Wales I went on to take an Art degree, and then worked for 15 years as a teacher, and educational consultant in the field of Special Needs. I continued to develop my knowledge and love of plants by designing and creating gardens of my own, as well as for other people, reading everything garden-related I could get my hands on, and visiting gardens wherever I travelled. Finally, I decided to bring all this experience together and re-trained as a garden designer at the English Gardening School at London's Chelsea Physic Garden, following this with a year spent working with well known garden designers, Robin Templar Williams and Moira Farnham, at the Garden Design School at Painshill Park in Surrey.
