The first Great Missenden office was opened by Paul Barrett in 1985, dealing in land acquisitions and development. The estate agency was opened a year later, and in 1990 Marie Barrett joined the firm as Hydegate Estates moved into residential lettings and management. In April 2019 the Barrett's sold the business to The JNP Partnership so they could enjoy a well deserved retirement. However, having been a family business since it was founded it was important to the Barretts and The JNP Partnership that Paul and Marie's son, Michael should continue in the business. The JNP Partnership is a well established and highly regarded residential sales and lettings agency that has been working in Buckinghamshire for over 20 years. They have brought to the business; experience, knowledge and resource as well as being able to offer clients an all encompassing end-to-end property solution with access to conveyancers, financial services and a highly regarded Land and New Homes team.
