Louise first began working in the industry whilst still at secondary school, producing hand-rendered images from plan for local kitchen companies to earn pocket money. After completing her training in Interior Design, Louise designed and project managed countless schemes for individual homeowners, local businesses and major new house builders, bringing to her work at idesign a wealth of previous knowledge and skill. After serving a four year cabinet making apprenticeship at Brunel College, Bristol, Adam worked for some of the most prestigious furniture makers in the region, before setting up as a self-employed kitchen installer. Adam’s specialised training and experience are evident throughout idesign’s work.
idesign was created by expert designer Louise Mitchell and master craftsman Adam Wood in 2010, combining over thirty years of professional experience: two people with a passion for interiors, and a vision that they wanted to share. Adam and Louise have been working together for the past fourteen years, eight years as idesign.
